We always just get burgers and fries and it is pretty good. The milkshakes are the best part though. The only down side to many steak n shakes is that it always takes forever no matter if you go through drive through or walk in. We have sat in drive through for at least 30 minutes before. Overall Satisfaction: 5/10 Taste: 8/10 it's good food for it being fast food Price: under $10 per person Environment: Fast food/diner Service: 5/10

Update we went back to this steak and shake the next weekend. Instead of serving us our food in a timely manner the person taking our order repeatedly asked "what you mean" and "wait what?". Not only is this a worse experience then getting an enema but at least that would be healthy. This steak and shake is the epitome of mediocrity and just try's its best to uphold the whole "hey f it, at least were not mcdonalds". Next week instead of going here ill just have my friends kick me in the ballz, at least thats fast and free.

My co-worker in St Louis has a tremendous love for Steak and Shake, so I almost always end up in one when I'm visiting STL. This location is better than most. First, it was extremely clean - no sticky tables or menus. Even the restrooms were clean, which has most definitely not been the case at other locations. Second, the staff was efficient and very pleasant. The food? Well, it's Steak and Shake - so not great, IMO but a lot of people really like it. If you are one of those people, this is a good location to stop at.

TWO STARS (Because I'm feeling nice) My last visit to Steak and Shake was very poor. I sat in the drive through for probably 30 minutes just waiting to order and I was second in line! When I got up to the speaker to order I was then asked to hold again for another 5 minutes. At no point in time did I get an apologize for the slow service. The only reason I went to Steak and Shake was to get my husband lunch and at that point I did not order myself any food. I am not the type of person to call and complain but with the slow service I received I called the 800 number to voice my concern. The only reason I'm giving two stars vs one is because I got a call from the manager at the store apologizing and sent us a $20 gift card which earned them a star. I will not be returning unless my husband asks nicely to get him something from there :-)

This very well could be the worst steak n shake in all of st charles county. They have messed up my order the last 4 times I've been here. If you ask for only pickles, ketchup and mayo on your burger you will get everything EXCEPT pickles, ketchup and mayo. They will never understand your order the first time you give it to them. It doesn't matter how clearly you speak; there will always be a long pause followed by "uhhh can you repeat that." The incompatence at this place is so mind blowing that you almost think it's a joke the employees are playing on you. AVOID THIS STEAK N SHAKE AT ALL COSTS!

I have been to this location on more than one occasion. Service was terrible. Had a waitress with a serious attitude, and for no particular reason.. After having poor service, the manager took care of our bill and I promptly made the decision never to go back. Staff was not attentive and quality of the food was inconsistent at best. Portions have gotten smaller, and the prices are going up. Overall, not worth it in any respect. Visit another place to eat. You wont be sorry you missed this place.
